LTStat presents, for each of the 60 municipalities, the essential public figures: population and change, housing, economy and employment, climate and sunshine, with rankings and comparisons between municipalities and between counties.

The figures come from statistical offices and public authorities, under open licences. The site is independent: it is not affiliated with any of these authorities.

What you will find on LTStat

Each of the 60 municipalities has its own page with the main public figures: population and how it has changed, housing, the local economy and employment, and climate and sunshine. Every figure is put in context, next to the average for its counties and for Lithuania, so that a number is never read in isolation.

The rankings let you sort the municipalities by each indicator and compare them with their neighbours. The search box takes you to any place in a few seconds.

LTStat is designed for residents who want to compare their area with others, for people thinking about a move, for journalists, students and teachers who need a reliable figure quickly, and for local businesses and associations that want to understand their area.

Our principles

  • Public sources only: the figures are those published by official statistical offices and public authorities, listed with their licences on the sources page.
  • No personal data about individuals: the site deals only with figures about areas.
  • Free access: no registration and no payment are needed to read the figures.

A figure looks wrong to you? Tell us through the contact form: we look into it and correct it when the source confirms the error.
